Welcome
ISSUE 1: SPRING 2025

Welcome to the very first issue of frkd. magazine!
This is a magazine born from the paddock, the pantry, the shed, the soil - and the stories of the people who grow, make and nourish our food system from the ground up.
In each issue, we'll meet growers and makers, and discover how communities are shaping a more connected, sustainable and delicious future.
In this debut issue, we head to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast to spotlight some of the region’s best producers. We dig into the hive-to-home story of Hampson Honey, get our hands dirty with the crew at Kinsfolk Farm, and discuss a day on the land at Belvedere Farm, where growing food is just one part of the picture. We also chat to Thiliarra Bush Organics about Country, connection and bush flavours.
Plus, we unpack what regenerative agriculture really looks like in practice, and why it’s gaining ground among farmers and food lovers alike. And we explore the great work being done by the Kitchen Garden Foundation.
You’ll also find news, events and updates from across the food and farming space. Plus, check out our selection of goodies in The Collection, where we bring together the best of pantry, home and garden.
Simply navigate to each section using the hamburger menu at the top right of each page. Or click the link at the bottom of each page to read the next story.
To help us shape future issues of frkd. magazine, we'd love your feedback. What do you want more of? What could you live without? Who should we chat to? Email your suggestions to us at gday@frkd.com.au
Thanks for reading frkd. Whether you’re a grower, a maker, or a conscious consumer, we’re glad you’re here!
